The foundation was poured to exceed the demands of the lift system. The lighting system has been strategically placed to provide daylight levels of light in all work areas. We are also eco conscious. Minimizing our carbon footprint is very important to us. We require all of our techs to be certified by the EPA on hazardous material handling for fluids and gases used in your vehicle. All oils, coolants, and refrigerants are reclaimed and recycled.

To understand the shop, you really need to understand the creator. Born into a missionary family, Micah Coley was raised abroad with the goal of helping those most in need, culturing a genuine love for others. Being in a constantly evolving atmosphere built an understanding for diversity and change, and developing a never quit attitude. While living abroad, he was exposed to the automotive racing culture so popular in Europe. As a child, his parents put him into Castrol KART racing school. This ensured a well developed ability to drive the car and feel it, to know when it’s right and when it’s not.

After moving to the US at age 15, he graduated high school while working for Toyz-Unlimited in Burlington, North Carolina. At Toyz-Unlimited, he was taught to be a technician by Toyota/Lexus Master Tech, Jeff Williams. After graduation, he went on to the US Navy by joining the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goosecreek, South Carolina. While at NNPTC, he was trained as an electrical operator for nuclear power plants. This cemented an understanding of electrical principles, physics, water chemistry and digital programming that have proved vital to automotive work.

Due to the decline of nuclear power and a loss of a passion for that industry, Micah began to move back into the automotive industry. After working on friends’ and family’s cars, he decide to open Angel City Motors and ran a small shop in Inglewood, mostly at a hugely discounted rate for a struggling community. It was here that he was noticed by Lamborghini, Beverly Hills. He was hired on as a Lamborghini and Bentley technician, but also worked on Aston Martin and Rolls Royce while at the shop. The shop was very corporate and filled with the same insincerity and lack of passion that he had seen so many other places. At this point he decided he must open a shop that is different. He is the owner and lead tech at The HOLLYWOOD MECHANIC and uses this journey to bring you only the very best experience in automotive repair, maintenance and customization you can find.
