At Hollywood Mechanic, we do world-class, routine service on California’s finest exotics. But, we sometimes work on the cars most shops turn away — modern supercars and exotics where the factory procedure runs out and it’s just you, the physics, and whatever you can reason out under the lift.

That’s the actual job. Not swapping parts until the light goes off, but figuring out what’s really wrong on a car nobody wrote a procedure for.

If that’s already how your head works, we want to meet you. Before any résumé, we ask candidates to take a short self-screen. You can’t cram for it. The disposition questions have no right answer, they just ask how you approach a problem. A handful of technical questions check what you actually know. Most people finish in 10 to 15 minutes.
